We change surfaces, not homes

Everything we do rests on one idea: most carpentry that looks past it is not past it at all. It has simply dated. The bones are sound, and only the face of it needs to change, which is a far happier thing to be told than the alternative.

Makeover.sg is a surface resurfacing business in Singapore. We apply architectural interior film to kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, doors, feature walls and just about anything else flat, sound and dry, in place, without hacking anything out, and usually while you carry on living around us.

Most of our work is in HDB flats and condominiums, and a great deal of it is doors: they date faster than anything else in a home, and they cost a startling amount to replace. We have also wrapped fridges, a meter-box door, staircases and the interior of a yacht, which is a fair summary of how we tend to answer the question "can you do this?"

What we are not

We are not a renovation contractor. We do not move walls, replace carcasses or fit new carpentry, and when a surface truly needs one of those, we will tell you, even though it costs us the job. There are three specific cases on our wrap-versus-renovation page where the honest answer is to renovate instead.

We are also not a material supplier. We do not sell film by the roll, and there is no trade counter. Every finish we show you is meant to end up on a wall in your home.

The material we install

We install LX Hausys BENIF architectural interior film.

BENIF is an architectural interior film, a genuinely different product from the vinyl sold for vehicle wrapping, and a world away from the contact paper in hardware shops. It carries a B1 fire-retardant grade, a UL 723 flame-spread and smoke rating, CE marking and, for the plain colour range, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 class 1. We set out what each certification actually covers, including the ones that apply to only part of the range.

Where we work

All of Singapore. Our workshop is at 50 Serangoon North Ave 4, #02-08, Singapore 555856. It is a unit in an industrial estate rather than a showroom, so the survey happens at your home or site. Message us and we will arrange it.
