Terms
Two things live on this page: the terms for using this website, and the ground rules that sit underneath every quote we write. Neither is designed to catch you out, and where this page and your written quote disagree, your quote is the one that counts.
Using this website
You are welcome to browse, read, print a page and send a link to whoever you like. What you may not do is republish our written content or our before-and-after photography as your own, or use anything here to suggest that another business did work that we did.
We keep the site accurate and current, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, and specifications, finishes and availability change. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance. A price exists only when we have written you one.
Quotes, surveys and when a job becomes a job
- A first reply over WhatsApp is an opinion, not a quote. When you send photographs, we will tell you whether a surface looks suitable and roughly what it would involve. That assessment is made from a photograph and is always subject to the survey.
- The survey is free and carries no obligation. We measure, put a hand on the substrate ourselves, and bring samples. You owe us nothing if you decide against it, then or later.
- The written quote is the agreement. It sets out the scope, the finishes, the price, the payment terms and how long it stays open. Work is booked when you accept it, and an accepted quote together with these terms is the whole of what was agreed.
- Changes of scope are re-quoted before we do them. If we open something up and find the substrate is not what any of us thought, we stop and tell you what it means for the price and the schedule. You will not learn about extra work from the invoice.
- Deposits, rescheduling and cancellation are as stated in your quote. Nothing on this website varies them.
What we need from you
- Access to the property
- Someone over 18 able to let us in and answer a question, for the days agreed. If access falls through on the day, we will have committed the crew and the material, so tell us as early as you can.
- A cleared surface
- Cupboards emptied, worktops cleared, and anything fragile moved out of the room. We will move what we reasonably can, but we would rather not be the ones deciding where your things go.
- Air conditioning during the work
- The manufacturer specifies a site temperature of 15 to 25 degrees Celsius from 72 hours before installation until 48 hours after. Singapore sits above that band year round, so this is a real requirement rather than a formality, and it is the customer who controls it. We will raise it at the survey and it will be written into your quote.
- Accurate information about the surface
- Tell us if a panel has swollen, been repaired before, or ever had water behind it. We inspect what we can see, and what is hidden underneath decides whether the finish lasts.
- Payment as agreed
- On the terms stated in your quote. There is nothing to pay for a survey, and we do not ask for payment before a quote is accepted.
You also confirm that you are entitled to have the work done: that you own the property, or have the permission of whoever does. For rented homes and for anything on a building exterior or in a common area, that permission is yours to obtain, not ours.
Suitability, and the jobs we turn down
Architectural film goes onto a surface that is flat, sound and dry. Where it is not, we will say so and decline the work rather than take it on and watch it fail. Swollen or delaminated board, active moisture and a substrate that has already been patched are the usual reasons.
We also do not wrap the area immediately behind a gas hob, or worktops that take pans straight out of the oven. Sustained direct heat is the one thing this material will not tolerate, and no preparation changes that.
If we recommend replacing rather than wrapping, that recommendation costs us the job and we make it anyway. It is not a negotiating position.
Colour, texture and what a sample is for
Swatch images on this website are photographs of a physical product shown on your screen, and screens differ from each other and from the light in your kitchen. Treat every image here as a guide to a finish rather than a colour match.
Ask us for a physical sample of anything you are seriously considering, and hold it up in the room it is going in, at the time of day you actually use that room. Where a finish is confirmed from a physical sample, that sample is what we work to. Slight variation between production batches is normal in this material and is not a defect.
Workmanship and warranty
Our installations are warranted. Ask us for the current terms when we quote.
Seams are planned onto panel lines and sightline edges wherever possible, and we show you where they will fall before starting. Very large single spans may need one. Film is installed panel by panel, so damage to one door or drawer front can usually be put right on its own, which is why we write down every finish code at handover. Years later, matching depends entirely on having them.
Those terms are attached to your quote, so you have them in writing before you accept rather than after.
The material, and whose name is on it
We install LX Hausys BENIF architectural interior film.
Finish names, product codes and swatch imagery identify that manufacturer's products and remain theirs. They appear on this website to identify the material we install and for no other purpose. Nothing here should be read as claiming that we are an authorised, official, certified or exclusive representative of any manufacturer, or that any manufacturer endorses us. Certifications we describe belong to the film and are attributed to it, not to our company.
Photographs of your project
We ask separately before publishing anything, and social media is a separate question from this website. You can decline, or change your mind afterwards and have an image removed, without it affecting the work or the price. How we handle photographs and the personal information in them is set out in our privacy policy.
Liability
We carry out work with reasonable care and skill, and we are responsible for loss or damage we actually cause. What we are not responsible for is loss that could not reasonably have been foreseen, loss arising from information about the substrate that we were not told, damage caused by heat, impact, abrasive or solvent cleaning, or any surface altered or repaired by someone else after we finish.
Except where our liability cannot be limited by law, our total liability in connection with a project is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that Singapore law does not permit us to exclude, and nothing here affects the rights you have as a consumer.
Other websites and embedded video
Where we link to a manufacturer, a directory or our own social profiles, those sites are run by other people under their own terms. The video cards on our homepage are still images held on our own server, and nothing is requested from TikTok until you click one. If you do, you are using TikTok's player under TikTok's terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page, and the date at the top will say when we last did. The version in force for your project is the one published when you accepted your quote.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We would far rather sort out a problem by talking to you, so please tell us first and give us the chance to put it right.
