Privacy policy
We are a small resurfacing business, not an advertising company. This page says exactly what we do with your details and with photographs of the inside of your home, in language you should not need a lawyer to read.
The short version
- This website has no forms and no login, so it collects nothing from you directly.
- We set no cookies and run no analytics. There is nothing to consent to.
- Nothing loads from TikTok unless you click a video.
- What we hold comes from you contacting us: your name, your number, your address, and the photographs you send of the surfaces you want changed.
- We never sell your details, and we do not build marketing lists from them.
- Photographs of your home are only ever published with your say-so, and come down the day you ask.
The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.
What we collect, and when
When you visit this site
Nothing that identifies you. There is no contact form, no newsletter box, no account and no analytics script. We do not set cookies, and no advertising or tracking service is embedded in these pages.
Your device does send an IP address and browser details to our host in order to receive the page at all. That is how the web works rather than a choice we made, and we do not use it to identify you or to build any profile.
When you message, call or email us
Almost everything we hold, you gave us on purpose. Typically: your name, your mobile number, the address of the property, what you want done, and photographs of the surfaces in question. If we go on to quote and carry out work, we also keep the quote, the finish codes we installed, the invoice, and enough of the conversation to know what was agreed.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your NRIC number, your date of birth, or your bank or card details. Please do not send them to us.
Photographs of your home
This deserves its own answer, because a photograph of someone's kitchen is more revealing than their phone number, and the industry is casual about it in a way we are not.
- Photographs you send us are used to assess the surface and to quote. That is the whole purpose, unless you separately agree to something more.
- We publish nothing without asking you specifically. Consenting to a photograph on this website is not consenting to social media, and we treat those as two separate questions because they are.
- Every image published on this site has had its embedded EXIF data stripped, including the GPS coordinates that phone cameras quietly attach. This is done automatically when the site is built, so it cannot be forgotten.
- We publish the estate or the development, never the block and unit. A block number beside an interior photograph identifies one household, and no marketing benefit is worth that.
- We check frames for the things people miss: documents on a counter, a name on a letterbox, a face, a reflection in a mirror or a glass door.
If you would prefer that we never publish your home at all, tell us at any point. It has no bearing on the work or the price.
What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry and telling you whether a surface can be wrapped.
- Arranging and carrying out the site survey.
- Preparing the quote and, if you accept, scheduling and doing the work.
- Invoicing, payment records and our tax obligations.
- Aftercare: keeping a record of the finish codes installed in your home, which is what makes a matching repair possible years later rather than a guess.
- Handling a warranty question or a complaint.
- Publishing before-and-after photographs, and only where you have agreed to it.
Under the PDPA we rely on your consent, which you give by contacting us and asking us to quote, and on the deemed-consent and legitimate-interests provisions where it is obvious in the circumstances, such as keeping the record of a job we did for you. We do not use your details for anything you would be surprised by, which is the test we actually apply.
Marketing, and the Do Not Call registry
We do not run marketing campaigns, we do not buy or rent contact lists, and we do not send bulk promotional messages. If you have messaged us, expect a reply about your job and nothing else.
Should that ever change, Singapore's Do Not Call provisions apply and we will check the registry before sending any marketing message, unless you have given us clear consent to contact you directly. Either way, one reply telling us to stop is enough, and we will not ask you to fill in anything to make it happen.
Who else sees it
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. There are three parties involved in running this business and this website, and here they all are.
- WhatsApp (Meta)
-
Carries the conversation when you message us, and stores it on your device and ours.
We chose WhatsApp because it is where this trade already happens and because it keeps your details off a web form and out of a database we would have to secure. The trade-off is honest: Meta processes the message metadata under its own privacy policy, and we cannot change that on your behalf. Phone or email instead if you would rather not use it.
- Amazon Web Services
-
Hosts this website and serves the pages you are reading.
Delivering a page requires your IP address and browser details to reach the server, the way posting a letter requires an address. We hold no account with you, set no identifier, and build no profile from it.
- TikTok
-
Only if you click a video on our homepage.
Our video cards are still images stored on our own server with a play button drawn on top. Until you click one, nothing is requested from TikTok and TikTok is not told you visited. Click, and their player loads in a frame and their privacy policy applies from that moment.
Beyond those, we would disclose personal data only where the law requires it, or to our accountant or insurer in the ordinary course of running a business. If we ever bring in another supplier who handles your details, such as an online form, a booking system or a payment provider, this page gets updated with their name before it goes live, not afterwards.
Data leaving Singapore
Both our website host and WhatsApp are operated by companies that process data outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred abroad, the PDPA requires us to satisfy ourselves that it will be protected to a comparable standard, which in practice means relying on those providers' own contractual data-protection commitments. If this matters to you, phone or email reaches us just as well as WhatsApp does.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become jobs. Deleted once it is clear nothing is going ahead, and in any case within about a year. Photographs of a home we never worked in have no reason to sit on a phone indefinitely.
- Completed jobs. Quotes, invoices and payment records are kept for five years, which is the period Singapore tax law requires business records to be retained.
- Finish codes and job notes. Kept while your installation is likely to need matching or repair, because losing them is what turns a small repair into a whole new run. Ask us to delete them and we will, and we will tell you plainly what you give up by doing so.
- Published photographs. Kept while they are on the site, and removed when you withdraw permission.
Keeping it safe
The honest description of our security is that we hold very little in the first place, which is the most effective protection there is. There is no customer database on this website, no login, and no uploaded files sitting on a server. Job records live in business accounts protected by passwords and two-factor authentication, on devices that are locked and encrypted, and access is limited to the people doing your job.
No arrangement is perfect. If personal data in our care is ever compromised in a way that is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the Personal Data Protection Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
- Ask what we hold
- You can ask us for the personal data we hold about you and how we have used it in the past year. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can, and if that will take longer than 30 days we will tell you when to expect it. A reasonable fee may apply where a request takes real work to fulfil, and we will tell you the amount before doing anything.
- Ask us to correct it
- If something we hold is wrong, whether a misspelt name, an old address or the wrong unit number, tell us and we will correct it.
- Withdraw your consent
- You can withdraw consent for any purpose at any time, and we will stop. We will also be straight with you about the consequence: withdrawing consent to hold your job record means we can no longer look up the finish codes used in your home, which is what makes a future repair match. We would rather you knew that before deciding than after.
- Ask us to take a photo down
- If a photograph of your home is published here and you want it removed, say so and it comes down. You do not need to give a reason, and it does not affect anything else we have agreed.
Send any of these requests to the contact below. We would much rather hear from you directly than have you go elsewhere first.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. We do sometimes work in homes with young children in them, which is a reason to be careful about what appears in a photograph, and we are.
Links to other sites
Where we link to somewhere else, such as a manufacturer's page, our TikTok profile or a directory we are listed in, that site is theirs and their privacy policy governs it, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we do with personal data, we change this page and update the date at the top. Where a change is significant and we hold your contact details, we will tell you rather than expect you to notice.
Contact and complaints
Our Data Protection Officer handles questions about personal data, access and correction requests, and anything on this page you disagree with.
