Cost

How much does it cost to wrap a door or a kitchen?
We quote per project rather than publishing a price list, because the cost is driven by things a list cannot see: the surface area, the condition of the substrate, how much preparation it needs, the number of doors and edges, the finish family, and access. Send us a photo and we will give you a real figure, not a range designed to get us through your door.
Why is preparation such a large part of the price?
Because it is the largest part of the work. Degreasing, sanding, filling and priming take longer than laying the film, and they decide whether you are still pleased with this in five years. A quote that is cheap because it skips preparation is not a cheaper version of the same job. It is a different, sadder one.
Is it really cheaper than replacing the carpentry?
For a surface that is structurally sound, yes, and substantially so, because you are not paying for new carcasses, disposal, fabrication or re-installation. If the board underneath has swollen or delaminated, the comparison no longer holds and replacing is the right answer.
Do you charge for the site survey?
No, never. Send a photo first and we can usually tell you over WhatsApp whether a surface is suitable, before anyone has to visit or you have to commit to anything.

Durability and care

Will it peel?
This is the question everyone asks, and it deserves a straight answer: not if the surface was prepared properly and the substrate was sound to begin with. Peeling almost always traces back to one of three things: a contaminated surface that was never degreased, primer that was skipped or rushed, or board that had already swollen underneath. That is exactly why we survey the substrate before quoting, and why we turn some jobs down.
How do I clean it?
A damp cloth and a mild household detergent. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring cream and solvent-based cleaners, which will dull or scratch the surface layer, particularly on printed and soft-touch finishes.
Can it handle heat and moisture?
It lives happily in kitchens and bathrooms every day. What it will not take is sustained direct heat, so we do not wrap the area immediately behind a gas hob, or worktops that take pans straight out of the oven.
What if it gets damaged later?
Film goes on panel by panel, so a damaged door or drawer front can usually be put right on its own without disturbing the rest of the run. This is precisely why we write down every finish code at handover, because years later, matching it depends entirely on having them.

Process and disruption

How long does it take?
A single door is usually a day. A full kitchen is typically two to three. The variable is drying time on the primer, not the film itself.
Do I need to move out?
No, and this is the part people are most relieved to hear. There is no hacking and no demolition, so the work stays contained to the surfaces being wrapped. You go on using the rest of your home exactly as normal.
Is it dusty?
There is some sanding dust at the preparation stage, which we contain and clear as we go. What there is none of is the grey film over everything that comes with hacking out carpentry, and nothing leaves in a skip.
Does the air conditioning need to be on?
Yes, and this matters more in Singapore than almost anywhere else. The manufacturer specifies a site temperature of 15–25 °C from 72 hours before installation to 48 hours after, and our outdoor average is above that band year round. We will ask about the aircon at the survey.
Where will the seams be?
Planned onto panel lines and sightline edges wherever possible, and we show you where they will fall before starting. Very large single spans may need one; a cabinet door will not.

The material

What film do you use?
We install LX Hausys BENIF architectural interior film. It is a self-adhesive architectural film, not the vinyl sold for cars, and not contact paper.
How many finishes are there?
536 finishes across wood, stone, marble, concrete, metal, textile, leather and flat colour. You can browse all of them on this site, filter by collection, and ask us for a physical sample of anything you like.
Can I see a sample before deciding?
Yes, and please do. Screens shift colour, and a finish that looks warm on your phone at night can read quite cool on your actual wall in the morning. We bring samples to the survey so you can hold them up against the room they are going in.
Is it safe for a home with young children?
The plain solid-colour products carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 class 1, the tier used for products in contact with children under three. We would rather be precise than reassuring here: not every model holds every certification, and food-contact safety was not tested, so do ask us before choosing a finish for a food-preparation surface.
Can you wrap something that is not in the catalogue photos?
Very probably. We have wrapped fridges, a meter-box door, staircases and the inside of a yacht. If it is flat, sound and dry, it is always worth asking, because the odd requests tend to be our favourite jobs.

Warranty

Is the work warranted?
Our installations are warranted. Ask us for the current terms when we quote.
What would not be covered?
As a general rule: impact damage, sustained direct heat, harsh or abrasive cleaning, and any surface repaired or altered by someone else. Ask us for the current terms in writing when we quote.
